Magnificent little 19th century canvas depicting sheep in a sheepfold. The canvas is in very good condition and has not undergone any restoration. I note some fine cracks. There is a signature in red at the top right, clear but which I cannot read. Certainly a good animal painter given the quality of the work. The frame is also old, in good condition, with some small missing parts. Dimensions of the canvas alone, 33 cm x 22 cm, or a 4 P. With the frame, 46.5 cm x 37 cm.
