"18th Century Miniature. Portrait Of A Military Man."
Splendid miniature on ivory from the 18th century. It represents the bust portrait of a young soldier who, if we are to believe the label on the back, was linked to two great aristocratic families, Swiss and German. I was able to read, TSCHUDI Family and SCHÖNAU Family. Some wear on the bottom on the right that does not affect the character. Apart from that, the portrait is of very good quality and in good condition. Dimensions of the miniature alone, 4.5 cm x 3 cm. In its original gilded brass frame, 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm.
