Of Breton origin, Charles Badoisel spent his youth in the North, in Douai, then his family moved to Angers during the Second World War. This painter practices oil painting, watercolor, gouache, pastel and drawing. From his many trips abroad, he filled many notebooks with drawings and watercolors. Charles Badoisel will be present in the Parisian Salons from the 1950s: Salon of Young Painting, Salon of Independent Artists, Salon of Painters Witnesses of their Time, Salon Comparaisons, Salon of Drawing and Water Painting, Salon d'Automne. Creator of the "Salon of Paintings and Sculptures" of Angers, with his friend Jean Commère, he will be the Secretary, from its creation in 1982 until 1988. Charles Badoisel was made Knight of Arts and Letters in 1985.
