Superb Miniature Of A Fashionable Woman From The 18th Century, Frame In Shagreen, Stone & Silver. 19th Century

Very beautiful painted miniature, in a beautiful shagreen frame. This is a 19th century work, probably from the reign of Louis Philippe.

The miniature is round, it is painted with a young woman with her hair and clothes in the fashion of the late 18th century.
She is slightly in profile, wearing a wig

The miniature is in a large and superb oval frame covered in green shagreen with small grains, circled in chiseled silver.

Under the miniature, an applique element consists of a phylactery inscribed "Souvenir" and palms.
This element indicates that this miniature was offered to a loved one or between friends, contexts where these objects called "souvenirs of friendship" were offered. These souvenirs of friendship were very fashionable in the 18th century and during the first half of the 19th century.

The mount is hallmarked:
. Boar's head for solid silver from 1838
. Goldsmith's hallmark that I have not managed to identify: "LA" with a sheaf of wheat or perhaps a tanned skin (??)
