"Marcle Cramoysan, The Tremblade Channel"

Marcel Cramoysan (1915-2007) Painter and lithographer of the Rouen school. Painter of landscapes, still lifes, flowers. Student of Antoine Pinchon. He participated in numerous exhibitions in France but also abroad. He presented his first exhibition in 1945 in Rouen. Marcel Cramoysan is a faithful observer of his environment, of everything he loves: flowers, still lifes, clowns and musicians but also and above all nature, the sea and ports. He exhibits regularly in Paris and in the provinces in different galleries, in Le Havre in 1959, Albi in 1971, in Paris in 1954, 1962-1966 as well as in the Paul Pétridès gallery in 1968 (gallery in which he exhibits permanently and which ensures the worldwide distribution of his works). Not forgetting Tokyo and Los Angeles in the 70s. He also exhibits in different salons: Les Artistes Rouennais, les Artistes Normands, Salons d'Automne and Comparaisons in Paris, the Salons des Terres Latines and des Artistes Honfleurais as well as the Salon des Artistes Français of which he is a prizewinner in 1972. Marcel Cramoysan had the chance to meet very early 2 renowned painters: Louvrier and Pinchon who were able to detect very early his gifts and his talent.
