Good evening, Beautiful terracotta sculpture of fine workmanship from the end of the 19th century - representing Lesbia and her bird, the sparrow Lesbia is the mistress to whom the Roman poet Catullus (87-54 BC) dedicated many poems. The character of Lesbia or Lesbie inspired several artists after Antiquity.
