Henri Jessen, 19th-20th century, Belgian portrait painter, he was mainly a decorative painter for the Boch Keramis studio in La Louvière, his hometown. He was the father of the painter Georges Jessen (1893-1963). His Portrait of Albert Gusbin or The Man with the Long Beard from 1893 is kept at the Museum of La Louvière. Artist Listed and Quoted by Artprice, Artnet, etc...

This canvas, well stretched on its original frame, is in very good condition.
The painting, cleaned, not dirty, is in very good condition and has 3 small repaints of repairs consecutive to the dots visible on the photo of the back. Work only visible under a UV lamp
