JAPAN - 18th century.
KABUTO MASANOBU SAKU composed of 62 wrought-iron slats.
THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) very elegant five-step gilded copper shakudo decorated with foliage scrolls on a nanako background, gilded copper and copper (very slight deformation of the fifth step).
SHIKORO (neck cover) with four steps in black-lacquered wrought iron and blue, orange and white silk braid (slightly missing).
FUKIGAESHI (fins) and MABI SA SHI (visor) in wrought iron sheathed in stamped, gilded and painted leather (slightly missing), the fins decorated with the MORI clan mon on a nanako background.
Gold and black lacquered wooden MAEDATE on the reverse featuring a rabbit with large ears (very slight dents).
