KABUTO in red lacquered wrought iron. SHIKORO (neck cover) with three degrees in red lacquered iron and white and blue silk braiding (missing). FUKIGAYESHI (the side fins) and MABI SA SHI (the visor) in red lacquered wrought iron (significant lack on the right fin). Very imposing MAEDATE in gold lacquered wood. HAMPO (samurai half-mask) in red lacquered iron, sweat hole under the chin, black lacquered interior. Gorget with four degrees in red lacquered iron and white and blue silk. SODE (shoulder guards) with six degrees in red lacquered metal and white and blue silk. Breastplate with four slats simulating nine in red lacquered iron and white and blue silk braiding. Arm guards, KOTE, in chainmail and iron plates (slight oxidation). Skirt, kusazuri, and cuissards, haidate, with four rows in red lacquered metal and white and blue silk. Leggings, suneate, in red lacquered iron plates, chainmail and leather. GUNBAI (command fan) in black lacquered wood and stamped metal decorated with two dragons facing each other on one side and constellations on the other side. Fairly good general condition, some losses to the lacquer and oxidation. Additional photos and details on request. Sold with its transport chest (gusoku bitsu) in leather-covered wood stamped with the mon of the Mizuno clan and wrought iron (slight losses and oxidation), and with its presentation stand. Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 171 x 58 x 50 cm. Notes: In Japan, samurai are commemorated every year, many people and temples often keep such armor for generations.
