Silver-plated bronze kagami mirror in a wooden box covered with gold lacquer decoration. The box is covered with a floral pattern including the blossoming flowers of the Japanese ume plum tree (symbol of patience, perseverance as well as happiness and peace). The reverse of the mirror is decorated in relief with a pair of tsuru cranes, accompanied by a kame turtle, a matsu pine and a take bamboo. Tsuru - symbol of longevity (according to legend, she lives 1,000 years), but also of wisdom, loyalty, knowledge and the experience she brings on her far-flung travels. Kame - symbol of wisdom and longevity (according to legend, he lives 10,000 years).
