Unfortunately anonymous, this very beautiful canvas represents the charming Corrèze village of Gimel les Cascades. The precise date of the composition could be known, thanks to the presence of the clock on the bell tower-wall, not present on the postcards of the 1910s. Our canvas is therefore necessarily dated after the installation of the clock. The composition centered on the religious building, nevertheless shows the village atmosphere and the few houses located further ahead.
