Portrait of a young woman in Louis XV period dress
Pastel on paper mounted on oval canvas
H. 68 cm; W. 54 cm (Frame: H. 102 cm; W. 71 cm)
18th century frame, anti-reflective glass
Most likely made during the first half of the 19th century, this beautiful pastel is an ode to color. The young woman's outfit, sparkling with tones and patterns, can be dated to the 1770s. The Louis XVI period frame topped with a bow gives the whole the charm of a work from the end of the 18th century, and above all a very decorative facet.
