"Louis XV Period – 18th Century Amaranth And Mahogany Sauteuse Chest Of Drawers"
Louis XV chest of drawers in solid amaranth and mahogany, with a crossbow-shaped front. Two large drawers separated by dust covers have beautifully crafted bronze handles and a volute bronze entry accompanied by an original lock in working order and a later key. The lower crosspiece has a cut-out underside with volutes in the center and on the sides. This is outlined with the feet. The rounded and recessed uprights end with strongly curved crowbars. The flat-band sides are accompanied by high and low mahogany crosspieces, molded on the inside. The framed top is darkened with a speckled mahogany panel. It has a grooved surround that follows the shape of the piece of furniture. ******* Period: 18th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
