Small Mahogany And Rosewood Mid-century Desk, Louis XV Style, Napoleon III Period – Mid-19th Century

This magnificent bureau de milieu, made during the Napoleon III period in the mid-19th century, is a perfect example of the elegance and refinement of a late Louis XV style. Crafted in mahogany and rosewood, it is distinguished by its careful details and exceptional craftsmanship. The bureau opens with three drawers, one of which is wider and one with compartments. The drawer fronts are in rosewood veneer arranged in quatrefoils, surrounded by bronze gadrooned rods. Each drawer is equipped with authentic and functional locks with entry and key. The top of the bureau is highlighted by a brass ingot mold and dressed in black leather with a central gilded motif, adding a touch of luxury.
