A large imposing Anglo-Indian hardwood elephant inlaid with bone and ivory, circa late 19th early 20th century, the saddle cloth and headdress densely inlaid with scrolled foliage. This is an imposing Indian elephant hand carved in solid rosewood. The elephants are superbly and profusely inlaid with carved camel bone and ivory detail in their own unique style and still retain the two carved bone tusks.
