La Douce Résistance (Gentle Resistance): color engraving depicting a young couple embracing in a luxurious interior, after the work of Louis-Léopold Boilly (1761-1845), engraved in stipple by Salvatore Tresca (1750-1815).
In a carved and gilded wooden frame decorated with friezes of canals and pearls (small accidents).
End of the 18th century.
