Old large 19th century oil painting on canvas signed lower left Jules Fraissac dated 1838, representing a view of the shore animated by a character sheltered by rocks, scrutinizing other passengers of a boat capsizing in the distance on a rough sea. Very beautiful evocation of the seascapes of the early 19th century in the style of Vernet or Lacroix of Marseille. A small restoration in the sky at the top right, otherwise good condition, painting cleaned on its original canvas.
