Size of the watercolor at sight 48x65cm This is indeed a sublime and rare watercolor by Balande, already by its fairly large size, then by the rarity of the motif and finally the quality of execution, because even if Balande was a talented painter, most of his watercolors date from the end of his career (1940-1960), they very often represent very stylized landscapes where the artist compartmentalizes his motif.
