Rare series of 6 Louis XVI period armchairs, all stamped Jean Baptiste Bernard DEMAY. They are in very good condition of woodwork, no trace of wood-eating insects, no breakage and have a beautiful patina. Each armchair is covered with an old tapestry in canvas stitch in wool and mercerized cotton/silk. All different, the tapestries are in very good condition, without holes, we have dusted them. Master in 1784, Jean Baptiste Bernard Demay made some seats for Queen Marie Antoinette, this seat carpenter is known for having made delicate and precious seats. Delivery in France and elsewhere.
