Pair of Napoleon III period lamps in bronze with brown patina. French work of Chinese inspiration. Resting on a circular openwork base chiseled with Asian motifs, a lizard in relief climbs by wrapping itself around the baluster-shaped shaft. In the 19th century, these lamps ran on oil, recently modified to current electrical standards, they are topped with round conical white lampshades.
