Beautiful object from the Grand Tour at the end of the 19th century representing a Cupid with a dolphin after the original found in the House of the Great Fountain in Pompeii in 1862 where it was placed in the middle of the basin of a fountain. The water spouted from the dolphin's mouth. Our bronze can also work in this way. The original is kept at the Archaeological Museum of Naples (see photo). It is the same size as our version. This one is in excellent condition and also seduces with its beautiful excavation patina. Maximum height: 61 cm, the Cupid himself: 56 cm its weight: 16 kg
