This polychrome enamel vase has a slightly flattened body, decorated in relief with two sumptuous bouquets of brightly colored wild flowers, arranged in opposition around the edge.
The vase narrows towards the neck surrounded by an elegant ring and rests on a bronze heel, giving the whole a refined and timeless balance.
Camille Raymond Fauré (1874-1956), a major figure in Limousin enamel, is known for his creative audacity and his exceptional know-how. In 1920, he turned to art enamels, first teaming up with Alexandre Marty to produce unique vases stamped "Fauré Marty Limoges". From 1924, he refined his vision by addressing a prestigious clientele, employing talented craftsmen and giving free rein to their creativity. The Fauré workshop prospered until the 1950s, producing varied pieces, recognized for their high quality.
Dimensions: 11cm x 13.5cm
Condition: very good, no damage to the enamel (note slight oxidation to be cleaned on the bronze parts)
This Limoges enamel vase on a brass core demonstrates the mastery of Limoges enamel techniques. It is signed in gold “Camille. FAURÉ Limoges France” and bears a legend under the base (see photos).
Exceptional piece, ideal for a collection of enamels or to elegantly enrich an interior decoration.
