The company has a tradition of over a century, which began in Brianza in 1898. Luigi Giorgetti founded a cabinet-making workshop, with about eight workers, that bore his name. In a short time, the small workshop expanded into a building with over forty people dedicated to the production of finely carved furniture in classical style. Today, Giorgetti combines the use of traditional materials with state-of-the-art technology, establishing itself as a nationally and internationally recognised brand.
The armchair belonging to the ‘Progetti’ series is upholstered in fabric, with seat and back padding in polyurethane foam. The legs are lacquered in a dark shade, and the inner frame is marked ‘walnut lacquered’. The armrests are made of polished pau ferro.
An interesting curiosity about this armchair is the design inspiration: the armrest recalls the elegant shape of the handle of an antique walking stick.
The state of preservation is good; the fabric has been cleaned, but still has some stains.
