Traditional scene confirming the mastery of Edmond Marie Petijean (1844-1925), an artist who exhibited at the Salon from 1874, silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889, he obtained the Legion of Honor in 1893, participated in 1900 in the decoration of the golden room of the legendary restaurant Le Train Bleu Gare de Lyon and obtained a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. His works are present in many French museums (Dijon, Bordeaux, Lille, Nancy, Marseille ...) and in Paris at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the Petit Palais.
