"Meissen - Hunting Group By Carl Punct"
Meissen Porcelain Hunting Group (Jägergruppe) Model created by Carl Christoph Punct in 1762. Marked with blue crossed swords and numbered 2925. Model listed in the Meissen - Bergmann catalogue. In 1761, Johann Joachim Kändler, who headed the art department of the Meissen Manufactory during and after the Seven Years' War, appointed Punct as his successor. In special recognition of his dedication, Punct was appointed court sculptor in 1763. After Punct's death in 1765, the sculptor Peter Reinicke, with whom he had already worked during his lifetime, became his successor.
