EPKO (Willering), Dutch painter born on March 24, 1928. Nicknamed "the Dutch magician of color", this artist was exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries all over the world, including Paris and New York. His perfect mastery of a lively, shimmering palette earned him recognition through the award of numerous prestigious prizes between 1950 and 1970, including the Othon Friesz Prize. Willering EPKO is prominently featured in renowned private collections and in modern art museums. This beautiful work, signed by the artist at the bottom left, titled "The Grape Cluster" dates from 1983 and was sold, not in the famous Félix Vercel gallery in New York, which had almost exclusive rights to this artist's paintings, but by the Christiane Vallé gallery in Clermont-Ferrand, a friend of the painter, during a beautiful exhibition titled "FLEURS".
