"Jules Brunetaut (1871-1957) Fisherman's Hut On The Corniche In Marseille"
The famous cornice of Marseille, its many small coves and its huts, great sources of inspiration for the artists of the Provençal School. The artist Jules Brunetaut in the entourage and in the lineage of Adolphe Gaussen and Jean-Baptiste Olive was also fascinated by this characteristic light, by the contrasts of blue of the sky and the sea, the movement of the waves and the mineral strength of the limestone of the rocks of our region. The work in good condition, is offered in a gilded frame with channels which measures 55.5 cm by 72.5 cm and 38 cm by 55 cm for the wooden panel. It represents a fisherman's hut in a cove near Roucas Blanc in Marseille. Signed lower right.
