"Pierre Chatillon, Engraving: Shepherds Of Brie"
Studied at the School of Art in La Chaux-de-Fonds (class of Charles L'Eplattenier), and at the Académie Julian in Paris where he mainly practiced engraving. In 1907, he undertook a trip to Argentina where he lived for seven years. Returning to Switzerland in July 1914, he was mobilized shortly after following the outbreak of the First World War. The publication in December 1914 of anti-German postcards and caricatures. Our color engraving represents 2 Bergers de Brie, it is signed lower right: P.Chatillon.
