This Saint Sebastian here represented as a martyr is presented standing in contrapposto, naked and leaning against a tree trunk to which he is tied by the wrists, his right arm raised in an elegant movement above his head and in an attitude characteristic of the Germanic Baroque at the end of the 17th century which is reminiscent of the mannerism of the Italian Renaissance.
