Some scratches and traces of rubbing under the bases of the feet and small signs of time at certain angles of the ribs. Some bubbles and cooking imperfections, as always at this time.
These glasses are over 150 years old, they have some imperfections, a sign of time and different manufacturing standards. However, they benefit from an excellent state of conservation considering their age. Perfect transparency, no trace of bleaching.
Present in the joint BACCARAT and SAINT-LOUIS catalog of 1833 and in the following ones under various names, this service was baptized in 1877 Caton by the SAINT-LOUIS house. With a pure and elegant shape highlighting the beauty of the crystal, these pieces will be very popular, especially with embassies.
The different pieces of this service are still marketed to this day by the SAINT-LOUIS house. These 19th century glasses are at an intermediate size between what is currently designated as American water glass No. 1 and water glass No. 2, sold at the price of €149 and €134 per glass.
