Still life oil on panel representing a poultry in still life, signed lower left by Ferdinand ATTENDU in a very beautiful molded wooden frame. 35x25cm He was born in Paris on April 25, 1845 in the former 1st arrondissement. Painter, he would be the student of Louis Mettling. He regularly contributed to the Salons between 1870 and 19055; the exhibition catalogs mention various addresses in Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine, without it being possible to affirm that he actually lived or worked there. In 1874, Attendu participated in the first exhibition of impressionist painters: he exhibited six paintings there. His precise links with the impressionist movement are not known. He is also a member of the society of French artists. Attendu married on July 30, 1888 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He died on March 14, 1917 in Graves-Saint-Amant in Charente, according to the town archives.
