"Important Japanese Bronze Vase By Izumi Seijo, Meiji Era Japan"
Exceptional bronze vase with brown patina, the body chiseled with kilin and minogame on a background of stylized waves, the neck decorated with a very finely sculpted dragon, the openwork edge decorated with a phoenix. The four Japanese supernatural creatures imported from China are therefore represented on this vase.
The artist used different techniques to show the extent of his know-how and the result is just perfect.

The underside signed "Izumi Seijo iru" (cast by Izumi Seijo, a first-rate artist of the Meiji to Taisho era)
