The entire decoration is in high relief, with in the center, in an engraved surround ''Société des agriculteurs de France - Mémoire sur les effets du froid de l'hiver de 1979-1880'', the muse of the harvest holding her sickle on her heart and at arm's length a sheaf of wheat with at her feet a putto clasping a beehive, against which is leaned another muse symbolizing knowledge, holding her tablets in one hand and in the other her quill clasped on her protective belly, with at her feet a putto holding a torch to light and offer the necessary warmth. The lower cartouche serving as a platform depicts a scene of sowing and plowing with an ox in the effort and jubilant Putti working in joy, on which is engraved ''CHRISTOFLE & Cie''. The marli, also very rich, with a large sheaf of wheat engraved in the central shield, then in a circular frieze sheaves of wheat for the people and oats for the livestock alternated by a garland of vine leaves and grapes.
