French School of the 17th century, portrait of an aristocrat of the Court. She is dressed in the fashion of the 1660s (like Marie Mancini), at the beginning of the reign of Louis XIV, around 1660. Oil on canvas in oval format, in an oval frame in carved oak and gilded with gold leaf, from the Louis XIV period. Beautiful portrait of a historical figure of very fine workmanship. The painting is not signed but the work of a good painter following Pierre Mignard, not identified at this stage of our research. The painting is a large format. The frame is superb and the matt and shiny gilding is very fresh (frame regilded with gold leaf in the mid-19th century, very beautiful gilding).
