"Kostanda Ceramics"
Ceramic dish with stylized rearing horse decoration. Beautiful contrast between the relief and smooth representation of the horse and the grainy edge. Signed on the back A. Kostanda, with the presence of 2 Terre de Cluny stamps. Alexandre Kostanda was born in Plolgne in 1924. He settled in Cluny in 1942 and then in 1949 he joined Vallauris. A few years later he opened his own workshop. The dish is located in Cluny, it can easily be dated to the 1940s.
