Extraordinary Solid Silver Flatware Set from the ART NOUVEAU period in the extremely rare model called "DICLYTRA / Bleeding Heart". This set is comprised of its 6 large Forks and 6 Table Spoons), 6 Table Knives, and a Cheese Knife, a total of 19 Pieces with the superb, sinuous Diclytra / Bleeding Heart decoration. Handles are monogrammed. Meticulously crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard (.950) Hallmark, and mark of Master Goldsmiths OLIER & CARON (with the exception of the Cheese Knife which is from its predecessor Henri Soufflot) which allows us to date this set to1910, the date of the transition. Forks and spoons are presented in a cutlery tray lined with anti-oxidant fabric. This extraordinary flatware set, in this fabulous and rare model, is in excellent condition, moreover revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, and just light signs of use to note. Rare model listed on page 363 in Mr David Allan's reference book "Le Couvert & La Coutellerie de Table" listing the most beautiful models of French goldsmithing. Model so rare that the author, lacking a piece to photograph, had to be content with reproducing a page from the Olier & Caron Catalogue of the time.
