Exceptional Sterling Silver Plate Service from the Napoleon III period. Service composed of its 6 Plates bordered with threaded borders, with a large engraved Coat of Arms with motto "ACTA NON VERBA", surmounted by the Crown of a Prince, on the marly. The Coat of Arms (three chevrons and at the base a silver mallet) are those of the prestigious Prince DEMIDOFF one of the most important industrial dynasties and rich family of the time. Anatole Demidoff married Mathilde-Létizia Bonaparte in 1840. Finely crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with Mercury 1st Title (.950) Hallmark for French pieces intended for export, mark of the reseller (LD and rose), and Hallmark of the Master Goldsmith Emile HUGO active in 1853. This exceptional Plate Service from the Napoleon III period, featuring this prestigious Coat of Arms, is in very good condition, with just micro-scratches from use to note.
