"Carved Wooden Cabinet, China, 19th Century"

A beautiful carved wooden cabinet opening with a drawer at the front topped with two doors hiding 6 drawers. Numerous decorations presenting on the doors scenes of jousting in front of spectators and musicians on the doors as well as scenes of daily life on the bottom drawer, miller, baker, breeders. The top of the cabinet is carved and gilded, on the corners some characters, a mother and her son, a father and his daughter. The sides are decorated with carved flowers. The cabinet is placed on 4 claw feet in gilded wood.
Very beautiful carving work.
