"Henri Laville (1916-1995) Portrait Entitled "young Girl And Her Dog"."
Very beautiful portrait representing a young girl holding a small dog in her arms. This charming painting, entitled "young girl and her dog" was painted by Henri Laville, a very famous painter in the 50s and 60s. This oil on canvas is sold without a frame. Two other paintings by the same artist entitled: "young girl and the cat" and "young girl and the dog" are for sale in our gallery, (see last photo). Henri Laville was born on February 7, 1916 in Bordeaux and died on December 27, 1995 at the age of 79. Very attached to his city, he entered the Beaux-Arts of Bordeaux and was a laureate of the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts of the same city. He was also a student of the Beaux-Arts of Paris, following the obtaining of a scholarship. Boarder at the Casa Velasquez in Madrid, a prize will be awarded to him. He will also obtain the Vermeil medal of the city of Paris. Throughout his career, he was complimented by many personalities who owned some of his works, including Michel Déon, Jean Chabanon (writer and art critic), Jean Cocteau, Georges Duhamel, Sacha Guitry, Raymond Charmet etc. Some of his works entered private collections: Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Sacha Guitry etc. Dimensions: height 61 cm width 46 cm Shipping costs contact us.
