Terracotta bas-relief, depicting Madonna with Child, 16th century, Florence. 
The work portrays the Virgin Mary with a sweet and serene expression as she holds baby Jesus in her arms, in a gesture of affection. The Virgin Mary is depicted with her head slightly tilted towards the Child, conveying a sense of protection. Her face is serene and calm, framed by long wavy hair that falls to her shoulders, and both faces, both the Mother and the Child, exude a feeling of tenderness and intimacy.

The relief is framed by a rectangular border and has a decorative band in the lower part, with floral motifs typical of Florentine manufacturing.
