Pair of gilt and patinated bronze andirons. depicting a fluted and patinated bronze firepot, supported by rams' heads and connected to the base by 4 feet with leafy sabots, the oblong base with projections is decorated with a frieze of interlacing in deep relief frames, rosettes, and rests on 6 spinning top feet. Beautiful quality of cast iron and chiseling, gilding in excellent condition. Attributed to the bronze maker Beurdeley. 19th century. Excellent condition. A pair of irons (for arranging the wood) available.
