Marcel Jaspar (Liège, 1886 - 1952)
Belgian painter. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège with A. Donnay, then from 1907 to 1914 at the Académie Julian and the Beaux-Arts in Paris with Robert Fleury, Déchenaud, Laparre, Rochegrosse. He created the murals for the Léonie de Waha high school in Liège and the home in Coq-sur-Mer. Author of symbolist compositions, landscapes, etc. In addition, he designed advertising projects, toys and, in collaboration with his father, a shadow puppet show. During the First World War, he created posters. Works at the Musée de la vie wallonne, Bruges. Bibliography: Piron
