"Japanese Kobako Book Box - Japan"
Kobako, box, in the shape of a traditional Japanese book. Carved and lacquered wood nashiji and gold maki-e. Silver edges. Unique piece in the shape of a book with a sewn binding and a space to write the title typical of traditional Japanese booklets. Small gap in the closure of the box linked to the age of the piece, which apart from this small defect, is in perfect condition. Japan, Meiji era, 10.5 x 8.3 x 2.5 cm.
