"Pair Of Important Gilt Bronze And Brass Hall Lanterns "
Rare pair of large transitional style vestibule lanterns in gilded bronze and brass with 4 light arms. Cylindrical in shape with their original glasses, they are divided into four parts by gilded bronze uprights decorated with acanthus leaves and pearls. Foliage-shaped cartouches decorate the crown and the base of the cylinder. They rest on small snail feet and are topped with 4 gilded bronze rocaille arms meeting under the lyre-shaped rocaille ring. Quality work from the end of the 19th century, rare in its dimensions and especially in pairs.
