Joseph Paul Louis Bergès, born May 31, 1878 in Saint-Girons (Ariège) and died March 9, 1956 in Paris 6th, is a French painter. After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, he was accepted first at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. It was in Paris that he spent his entire career, but he remained very attached to Couserans, where he often returned until his last years. A student of Eugène Cormon and Léon Bonnat, he specialized in portraits and still lifes and exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1907
