This large Art Deco vase in blue glass with its transparent ball handles is a creation of the Russian artist Anatole Riecke, signed and dated 1969. Master Glassmaker of La Coupole, in Paris, he is at the origin of the emblematic Art Deco decor of this Parisian landmark during the 1930s. His very fine glasswork is manifested here with a cubist influence that contrasts the very smooth surface of the blue glass. Chic and timeless, this vase will go well with both old and contemporary pieces. This piece is in a superb state of conservation. Signed A.Riecke and dated 69.
