"16th Century Stone Head, “indian” Hairstyle"
Rare sculpted head of a young woman, with Indian hair (recent discovery in the Americas) probably from the frame of an exterior door. We can see the details of the hair, pulled up on the forehead, styled in high locks, in the manner of a parire simulating feathers, hence the Indian expression. Traces of exposure to the elements. Visible spalling. 16th century period, France.
