French painter born in 1899 died in 1969 in Candé sur Beuvron (Loir et Cher). He arrived in Paris in 1916 and participated for the first time in the Salon des Indépendants in 1923. He represented the northern suburbs of Paris, Saint Ouen, Montmartre and Clichy because he liked to paint the Zone, testimonies of life in working-class neighborhoods during the first half of the last century.
