Very beautiful Gouro "Zaouli" mask in carved wood with a painted face topped with a structure presenting a family scene: a couple, a newborn and a dog, the whole is painted with bright colors. The characters are dressed in traditional clothes, the female character exhibits a bare and prominent chest. The mask has a masterfully sculpted headdress, scarifications on the cheeks and dotted lines on the temples and between the eyebrows. These very colorful masks that are also called "Ripolin mask" The style and beauty of this mask allow it to be compared to the work of the Master of the Niono (catalogue "the Masters of sculpture of Côte d'Ivoire.
