Beautiful prize book from the Collège Municipal de Rollin stamped on the covers with a gilded frame fillet with the Emblems of this famous Parisian college under Napoleon III, smooth spine decorated with gilded iron, gilded title, marbled guards and edges; "The Hundred Wonders of Nature by M. De Marles, sixth edition (Provincial). Title frontispiece engraved with Mount Hecla, volcano of Iceland; and figure of the cave of Staffa, or Fingal (Rouargue brothers del. and sculp.t). Beautiful copy of pure romanticism from the middle of the 19th century... Covers nicely decorated with the Vessel Emblem of Paris
